Who is Ben Sherman?

I invented the Mod movement. And then I invented Brighton. And then I deviced the rockers and this idea was good I restored the natural balance. I WAS ON FIRE and now I needed something to make the mods look different - in 1963 suddenly fresh BANG! I created something that I had to put my name to: The original Ben Sherman.

Mark Gatiss on Sherlock

I love this man, seriously. Left aside his brilliant performance as Mycroft which I DO ADORE, man he’s genius. And I totally-totally-totally agree with him about the Basil Rathbone thingy - this modern adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s work reminded me A LOT of the whole serie of movies starring Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, it has a certain humor and vibe which I think - as a mad mad lover of every single novel and short story featuring Holmes - it’s pretty much the real essence and heart of Conan Doyle’s work.

This being said, please PLEASE Gatiss, we want some more.

TH’s interview via ctbureau.co.uk - love it, Terry is me hero, period.
Terry Hall’s singing and song-writing — a potent mix of laconic humour, cynicism and sharply observed social comment — have made him one of the most unique frontmen in British music. In the late 1970s and early ‘80s he helped to spearhead the hugely popular ska revival as lead vocalist with The Specials, whose hard-hitting mix of ska, roots reggae, punk and rock scored a run of seven straight Top Ten singles, including such classics as Gangsters, Too Much, Too Young and Ghost Town. Hall left The Specials at the height of their fame to form Fun Boy Three, ushering in a musical eclecticism seldom heard in the pop charts and on mainstream radio. Dubbed ‘a man who has had more bands than a short-wave radio’, he has spent the past two decades hopping from project to project: his bands the Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka and Vegas (with Dave Stewart), appearances with Tricky, Gorillaz and the Lightning Seeds, and two solo albums. What has remained constant throughout Hall’s long and varied career is his distinctive persona and cynical lyrics mixing political and social commentary with everyday ennui. He currently lives and works in Islington where his number one priority is sorting out his teenagers.

Alfie (1966), Ending with Cilla Black, Alfie

today, or the day in which every thing falls into place.

Alfie -> Cilla Black -> Mozzer

So everything is Michael Caine related in some way. My theories have been explained at last. Michael Caine is god, or at least he was a god before having some political disorders in the last few months.
